Tangos Cuentos

About the tales:
Tangos Cuentos (Tango Tales) is a collection of original scenes, inspired by the tango music of the early 20th century. A small troupe of actors-who-dance and dancers-who-act come together to “not tango”. Instead, they perform ten unique stories, developed through improvisation, clowning, mime, and modern dance.

Audiences will recognize some familiar pieces of tango music, such as Por una Cabeza (Carlos Gardel, 1935) made famous by the dance in the Al Pacino movie Scent of A Woman. Tangos like Chalita (Victor Schertzinger, 1928) “the bad ass chick”, and El Choclo (Vilodos, 1905) “here comes trouble” will amaze and amuse.
